Chief Longevity Strategist

Dr TingTang

Dr Ting-Ching Tang, MBBCh, MRCP UK

After twenty years practising in the UK and Taiwan, I have seen too many people reach life's three great cliffs before realising they never planned for the second half. True longevity is not about chasing perfect numbers — it is about finding your own rhythm.

My Story

At seventeen I left home alone for the UK to study medicine. In the birthplace of geriatric medicine, I fell in love with a specialty that doesn't just ask 'What disease do you have?' but rather 'How do you want to live?' After returning to Taiwan, I joined the Centre for Geriatric Medicine at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, deeply integrating Western evidence-based medicine with Chinese wellness philosophy to develop the 9S Framework — a systematic methodology for longevity planning.

As a geriatrician, I am very good at helping elderly patients plan the final chapters of their lives. But I cannot help wondering: why don't we give these people the chance to decide for themselves how they want to write those final chapters?

That is why I designed this course — to walk alongside you and help you plan your longevity, well in advance.

Representing primary-care clinics at the Presidential Office, participating in policy discussions on whole-person care and chronic disease management.

A clinic is never just 'a place to see a doctor' — it is the health gatekeeper accompanying every person in the neighbourhood.

In 2025, I was invited to represent primary-care clinics at the Presidential Office to participate in policy discussions on whole-person care and chronic disease management. A doctor's responsibility extends beyond the consulting room — it lies in advancing better healthcare for every person in Taiwan.
